  1. yes..go to settings>sounds and notifications. tap notifications at the bottom. where it says event scroll down to "messaging:new text message" make sure theres a check in play sound. hit arrow then scroll down to desired ringtone. i have anything i want to b a ringtone stored openly on my storage card. NOT in a folder ON the storage card.
