Is there a way to blaken/daken my hair without using anysort of chemical dyes or treatments?

my hair is dark brown and i want it black but i don't wanna use hair dyes cuz my hair is so sensitive to these chemicals..help??

You can try natural henna i think its pretty rare to have any reaction to that. Just make sure you get one that really is natural, sometimes you see these shampoos and things with "henna essence" in them which are not the same thing.

Where i live you can usually get henna in health shops etc. If you go in one and tell them what you're looking for they should be able to point you in the right direction and explain how to apply it etc.

They do tend to fade a bit faster than "normal" dyes but because its nowhere near as bad for your hair as normal dye you can do it more often (also means you can keep doing it untill you get the intensity of colour you want)

The best way to change your color without damage is a semi or demi permanent dye.

Special Effects hair dye is my favorite. It is not permanent, but does last a long time, and you should get more than one use out of a bottle. The bottle says 3-6 weeks, but from my experience with darker colors (black, blue, and purple) they can last up to 8-10 weeks, The dyes from this company do not damage hair, they actually condition as they dye. Clairol Nice N Easy also makes a semi permanent dye that comes in all the shades of other drugstore colors: blondes,browns, reds, and blacks. The Natural black from this line is great, ive used many of their brown shades also with good results. Plus the package includes gloves, detailed instructions, a hair cover and a little package of conditioner which is helpful. Also, it is easily available at drugstores.
