Is there a way to block non-spam emails on yahoo mail?

I have tried simply marking them as spam, but they still end up in my inbox.

Sure.

Mail page>>options (top right)>>mail options (if available)>>block addresses. Enter the exact address you want to block, and click "add block".

If you're using the All New Mail---go to mail page>>options>>mail options>>spam>>block addresses, and block it.

Any future mail from that address, will be deleted immediately upon arriving at your account, and you'll never see them. NO notice is sent to them ---nor to you.
