Is there anything I can do to build up my shoulder and arm muscles without lifting weights. I do warm-ups and workouts such as: trunk twists, toe touches, arm circles, calf stretches, push-ups, curl ups, quick sprints, side benders, and shoulder shapers. I also do cycling, walking and jumping. But I want to look built up through the top. and I don't wanna get it through lifting weights. Is there another way? Thanks!

  1. push ups, pull ups, dips.  Vary your stance and grip.  Do as many as you can.  Take a 1 minute break and do the same number again.  Work yourself up to sets of three.  Then add 5 repetitions every few weeks when you can.  Keep challenging yourself.  I usually start my first set with a wide grip and then move to the center with each set.

I started with three sets of 10 push ups for example.  A few weeks later I did three sets of 15 and now (about 2 years later) I'm doing three sets of 60.  I think I could even do 100 at at time now, but I actually get winded before my arms give out!

Be consistent.  I have to write it down and keep track of each and every set I do.  Weird huh?  But at age 50 I think I'm doing fine.  Most folks think I'm 40.

I'm not a big fan of weight either, but they really do a job on you!

  2. Isometrics works really well for arms.

  3. chin ups
