Like im in a community college, i almost have 28 points(out of 60). I dont want to wait until i have 60 points then take a SAT and transfer to a 4yr school(medical school).

If i take the SAT anytime soon and get a great scores, will i be able to bypass what i have left on the community college?

Help will be greatly appreciated.

  1. No.  I doubt the SAT score would even help you because you are a transfer student no matter what. Its not a requirement for most transfer students. The universities want you to take the classes instead.

You can try applying after you finish your first year there, but i think the 4 year schools would want to look at your high school grades (and it will be considered in whether or not you get admitted) You can also try taking the SATs while you are in community college, but i dont think they will use that to replace what you have to finish. SAT is mainly for high school students. Also, SATs dont really substitute for those college classes because most universities dont use that to satisfy your transfer requirements. They would actually want you to take those classes because i think the time that you spend at the community college is supposed to be the same as spending your first 2 years at a 4 year university (you know..completing your general education requirements...) Besides, if you want to go a great medical school in the future, grades matter a lot. So, it would be better for you to finish your 60 point requirement, along with any transfer requirements, go get your bachelors degree (and continue getting very good grades) take the MCAT and get into the best medical school.
