Is there a way to change the way a yahoo group name displays in your inbox?

Say I belong to a group called "Farting Around at Work for Fun and Profit". But...I don't want that to display in the subject line when I'm farting around at work reading group email. So, could I make it say something like "Very Important Work-Related Stuff That I Am Researching"? If so, how?

  1. Can I change the name or email address/URL of a group after I've set it up?

  2. If you are not the owner of that group, there's no way you can change it.  The owner would have to change the group name/URL.

Perhaps you could make a new inbox folder and name it Work In Process or something like that.  Then change your email program settings to automatically move all emails upon receipt from the "Farting Around..." group to the new folder.  Then when you are reading those messages and a co-worker or supervisor walks by, just click on your regular inbox and open any message.  This worked for one of my co-workers.

Just remember, your workplace internet administrator can access all employees' emails so try to stay within the guidelines of your employee internet rules/regulations.
