  1. This is a good site.  There is a charge, but it's small, IMO, $20 each test, and worth it.

    http://www.letsgolearn.com/

They have tests for math and reading.  Click on the "homeschool" link.

  2. Go to http://ebiz.netopia.com/clpress/ click on testing and for about $20.00 + you will be send the CAT; administer it, send it back, and they will give you the results.

  3. This depends on your state, but some states will test him for you. There are also books and tests you can use at home to evaluate him. You can go through a Sylvan Learning Center. Or, you can just use your own judgment. A website like the one below can tell you what most students are learning at his age. If you check his work everyday, you should know if he has a grasp of these subjects or not. There is a helpful series of books called something like, "What Every Child Should Know by the ___ Grade". You can get them from the library or inter-library loan. There are also lists of what grade level children's books are generally considered. As you do this, please remember that these are guidelines only, not rules. Don't forget to count the things he is learning that may not be on the lists. For instance, my daughter isn't writing research papers yet, but she is learning languages and Shakespeare. Not all children develop the same skills at the same time. I only say this because as parents we often judge ourselves harshly when it comes to doing our best for our kids.

    Good luck!

  4. i dont know if you could check but there must be certain standardized tests that u can take at home. then compare the results with statistics..

  5. pay to have the Minnesota Multiplastic or Stanford Binet tests administered.  Some states will do it for free, but the book rate is between $200 and $300
