  1. Usually we just charge our batteries the night before a shoot and not worry about it.

At some point when your battery gets low, something will show up on your LCD.

  2. Unfortunately, no. The SD750 doesn't come with a battery meter. You basically have four options:

    1. Buy a second battery. Here's one from Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Battery-SD10... It takes longer to discharge a Canon NB-4L than it does to charge one, so if you remember to charge them you'll always have power.

Pros: You won't need a meter.

Cons: You have to remember to charge it. Official replacements are ~$40 and cheap third-party batteries may void your warranty.

    2. Do what fhotoace said and wait until the battery gets to a critical level. The camera displays a warning, then shuts down.

    Pros: Easy.

    Cons: Crude.

    3. Buy an AC adapter. For instance: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-ACK-DC10-Ada...

Pros: No batteries = you won't need a meter.

Cons: It's ~$50 and obviously it's got to be connected to the wall.

    4. Install the firmware patch "CHDK", which adds a battery meter + a bunch of other features that were left out: http://chdk.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ

Pros: It's free and it works.

Cons: You need to be fairly knowledgeable about computers to get it running.

    Good luck! :D
