  1. If you have an OBDII scanner. If not autozone will do it for free.

    or nowadays, you can even buy one from Wal-Mart, I believe, think that you'd be spending from 60 to 80 bucks for scanning multiple cars

    or you can buy a scanner from the parts stores as well, which can come in handy for trouble shooting multiple cars
