Is there a way to clear your eyes of redness without eye drops?

I've been studying chemistry all day and have a date in a couple hours and my textbook is on my computer. I don't have any eye drops, but is there a way to clear the redness from my eyes. Preferably some solution that doesn't sting and can be found with regular dorm room things. I'm about to jump in the shower, so please get back to me quick!!

if yer  eyes are red you should try smokin some pot.  i know it sounds silly, but if yer eyes are red and you havent smoked, maybe the pot will reverse it.  if not, at least youll be high:)  good luck on the date....

I have had that problem for many years.  (I'm a man).  What I have been doing is the aplication of ice or very cold water to my closed eyes.  It shrinks the blood vessels and pulls out the blood into your system.  (Just the same as drops, which are designed to shrink your blood vessels chemically).  Good luck.  Adian.
