  1. Sure.

    Mix some water and salt.

    Distill the water (boil it and re-condense the steam in a different container.)

    You will end up with the water in the new container and the salt will remain in the old one (it may be a crust instead of crystals, but it will still be there.)

    To prove it:

    Get an exact measure of the weight of the empty container.

    Get an exact measure of the weight of the salt.

    Get an exact measure of the weight of the container after boiling off the water.


  2. reverse what? you mean unmix the materials?

    You can mix oil and water, and they will separate by themselves.

    Something like sand and talc can be mixed and separated by a sieve.

    You can dissolve something in water and separate them by distilling the water.

    You can mix some powders with water and let it settle out.
