Is there a way to complete hide a group of emails so no one else can see that the group exists?

put them in a folder? copy and paste them from your actual email onto your desktop? don't let anyone have your email account or don't look at your email when others are around would be my  best advice?

no..if you hide all e-mails in your group so other can't seem them..they can do any polls and some of the other things that the group offers. And if you don't want your group to show in the  directory you need to go to the Management area and then go into Description and scroll do the bottom and it will tell you this:

Listing Type:     Listed in Yahoo! Groups directory

Not listed in Yahoo! Groups directory  

that is where you can change that
