Question:

Is there a way to convert US dvds to PAL, legally and without high cost?

A few months ago we moved from the US to the UK because of my husband's work. Over here we have a UK dvd player but a very small movie library. Back home we have quite a few dvds that I would love to be able to watch here, but due to the different settings I haven't shipped them over as of yet and they're currently at my mother's. I was wondering whether there is a LEGAL, free or low-cost way to maybe burn and convert these dvds to PAL?

Just to be extra clear, this is not a p****y question as we have bought the dvds I want, they just won't work now that we live in the UK.

  1. i would buy a  multi region dvd play  , Most PC's are multi region but of course than you would have to sit in front of your pc to watch your movies .mulit region dvd players have come down alot in price but not cheap , but less expensive than converting all those movies over to PAL , just look for NTSC to  PAL  conversions if your interested.  i left an example  of the products below in the link i am sure you can find a UK based company to supply you with the correct product as well.
