Is there a way to convert old RPL video files into something useful?

I've got some old RPL video files of old music videos and I'd like to put them on my iPod video if I can, but Total Video Converter doesn't understand the format.

Is there any software which will convert these videos into a useful format that I can then convert onto my iPod?

These music videos aren't on YouTube, otherwise I'd try getting them from there.

  1. You can try Cucusoft DVD to iPod Video Suite to rip DVD movie and convert videos in any format to iPod. It is the fastest converter I have used. You can download this software free from here:

Unbiased reviews and side-by-side comparisons of ipod converter suite you are considering, and gives you enough information to research the ins and outs of a particular product, you can choose your favorite one here:

Some useful information you can get on the official site:

  2. RPL: Is that a Rhapsody/Real Player format? If so, I'm not quite sure if you can do much about it. I believe that such files are protected, but then again I could be completely wrong.

  3. Well, you can try what I use. Whenever I have a video file that I need converted, I use iSquint. As far as I am aware, its only for Macs but it is complety free. It converts a hundred and one different formats into MP4 format (iPod format) it does Flash, YouTube videos, WMV even videos that are corrupted and won't play in any video player - it will convert and it will work.

Not only that it's super fast, taking a few minutes to do about 15 mins of video!
