Is there a way to create a temporary frame around a Mirror

We just moved into an apartment with those large pieces of mirror in the bathrooms and I was wondering if there is any sort of temporary way to frame the mirrors since we're just renters...I thought about that peel and stick molding...has anyone tried that?

Thanks, D

  1. a swag is the best choice as long as it is not near a lighting fixture. if it is try beads or different types of nvlty decorations to spice things up.  just make sure you fill in any holes created by this, most apartment management companies do charge for it.

  2. I've done it a couple of ways.  You can use mounting tape on molding that has two sided sticky.  You can also use hook and loop tape with one sided sticky to hold up molding.  The peel and stick molding doesn't hold well because it is adhering to a slick porous surface and it is intended only to stick to drywall which is porous and not slick.  Another way is to use fabric swagged on two drapery stays at either side on the top of the mirror.
