One of my sites keeps getting comment spammed, and for every comment their is a different IP Address. Is there a way to actually reveal his true IP adress. Also when I look in StatCounter it doesnt track his usage. How can I reveal this?

  1. He is more likely using a proxy that taking the time to reset his IP address just to spam you some more. If you have a guestbook which is getting spammed I suggest one that uses CAPTCHA so that it will take him longer OR if its a forum just set registration to be approved by an admin or something. If it continues you could try to trace the IP and find out his ISP and report him that way.

  2. The ip he has is his real ip, the reason why he keeps coming back is because he resets his ip by powering down his modem and powering back. I know because I use this technique too, I spam comments on chatango and when they ip ban me I just reset my ip and I'm back.  The ip you see is his ip.
