Is there a way to determine a Pokemon's stat growth in pokemon red like the natures in other games?

i want my gengars stats to grow at a neutral pace in my red version on my emulator can anyone please tell me how its possible in the older games?

I don't believe that each individual Pokemon grows at a different rate in the original games (i.e. natures) but I do believe that the concept of "effort points" or "effort values" still exists.  In case you don't know of this concept, your Pokemon basically receives invisible "effort points" from each Pokemon it defeats.  Different Pokemon give boosts to different stats.  The creators did this as a way of randomizing the experience and making each Pokemon different, assuming that no one ever discovered this.  Alas, we have, and you can read a lot about it on GameFAQS.
