I'm an American and I've fallen in love with your amazing game. I've watched every clip and montage on YouTube and started looking on torrent. I only found 1 match that actually downloaded and it was this year's Prelim Final Collingwood v. Geelong. Great friggin match. I am stuck though as to how to get more high quality full matches for download. I'd even pay, that's how desperate I am. Any place that offers matches for purchase?

  1. If you know what bit torrent is, isohunt.com has a decent number of full matches from this year's playoffs. They used to show highlights on Fox Sports Net but I haven't seen it on for over a year now :(

  2. Unfortunately for us Yanks, we can't download anything of www.afl.com.au, you have to be in Australia.

I have about 50 or so footy tapes and or DVD's in my collection.

If you want to buy like I have, go to,

    http://www.sportsdelivered.com/afl/index...

  3. Try TubeHunter Ultra which downloads Music/Audios and videos from over 520 youtube kind webs to any format you want.

TubeHunter Ultra downloads YouTube/Myspace/Metacafe/Dailymotion videos to PC/iPOD/PSP/ZUNE/MOBILE

  4. The Collingwood v. Geelong match was painful if you ask me, so awfully close! Sadly the closest thing that comes to downloadable AFL is a package that comes with BigPond Internet plans. AFL is big business here in Australia and one or two broadcasters have monopoly on the whole thing. You may have to contend with YouTube, and on line radio if you'd like some live action. Hope this helps.

  5. FYI

I just spoke to a telstra rep and they said that it is not possible to view the live alf streaming from bigpond tv unless you live in Australia. No luck with telstra australia..what about the alf website? do you know if they offer a streaming service?

  6. This is the OP in disguise ;) To answer RogueRage, I suppose I don't have quite the passion of history towards any team as I do here in the States. I do favor Essendon because it was Mark McVeigh's mark this year that really grabbed my attention and initiated my interest in the sport. I did however enjoy the Collingwood performance in the 1 entire match I've seen. So it's between those 2. At this point though, I really just want to see more good matches in entirety, regardless of teams. I've abstained from DLing the Finals because of the blowout score...prefer to skip that one. I'll look up your referral though. Cheers :) What a great sport you have. This needs to come State side. I'd love to play on a local club if it exists in San Diego.

Thanks t3nnisHed. That is disappointing. However, I don't care if I get games far behind their happenings. I just would like an option to have them eventually...of some sort. I'm looking for 2006-2007 matches and definitely playoff matches to watch right now...just for my own ignorant entertainment.

    And Rogue....ok...Collingwood it is lol.

  7. i would hunt down gfcbarracker who is from USA and an avid footy supporter too.  I'm sure you will find him lurking around AFL catergory!  Good luck!

PS:  Is there a particular team you barrack for?

    *hint: Collingwood*
