Is there a way to edit ID3 tags in Excel and import into itunes?

What software can I use to do this? I have to edit over 10,000 songs using features such as "find & replace", etc. I tried exporting my itunes song list to text and after I made changes I could not import it back as itunes could not import the songs I made changes to. Is there a way around this?

nope. BUT google it, there are other sofware that lets you do a mass edit of id3... just search for mass id3 edit

The iTunes library is an XML file so any XML editor should work well to change it manually.  Though as another poster pointed out, there are many editors available through google.  Just decide if you want to edit the ID3 tags before importing, or if you want to edit the XML after importing.
