Is there a way to entertain my Iguana...and if so, how?

what you can do is provide him/her with enrichment

such as lots of branches and logs to climb on because iguanas like to climb (thats why they have strong claws)

you could even take your iggy swimming

they are very strong swimmers

And also very fast so you really need to keep an eye on it

you can let your iggy run around the house providing there are no dangers

take him in the garden etc

Never leave your iggy alone whilst out of his enclosure

you could take him out and 'play' with him. like let him crawl around.

you could even play the radio for him.

I have owned Iguanas. I filled my bath tub up half way and let her swim once a week. She looked forward to that. Also we went to a crafts store like Michaels and purchased some green plastic with little holes in it and put suction cups on all four sides and put it inside her cage so she could climb on . She also loved that... They like to climb.

I put my iguana in the tub at least once week.

One, this helps with shedding and increases muscle strength.

and two, it gives you and the iguana time to bind. A iguana requires lots of handling if you want them to be tame.

If you put it in the tub you want to make sure the water is between 95 and 100 degrees. Don't worry this won't burn it, it around there normal body temp.
