Is there a way to extract the music from a dvd?

can i gwet just the music and not the dialogue or sfx??

If you have iTunes (You can download it free if you don't) you can search the name of the DVD and buy the music, but it costs 99 cents a song.  There are certain software you can look up to do that kind of thing.  Or you could get a device that records sound and record it.  If you search for it, you might be able to find a free download of the song.

If you are trying to extract music from a file that has dialogue in it than it will not be a 100% possible.  You can try to lower the sound of the dialogue by extracting the music from the dvd with dvd audio ripper than import the file into audacity and then use certain tools in there to edit the sound to make the dialogue seemingly unnoticeable but it will never separate the sound into music or dialogue by itself.  you can find tutorials on audacity online and youtube as well.  Good luck.

    Your best bet is  going to be looking up the dvd's soundtrack or looking around to see if anyone knows what songs were used at what parts.
