Is there a way to film a computer game using a camcorder?

I have seen it done before.

I am aware of Camtasia and FRAPs, but I would like to use my DV Camcorder to film a computer game. I have heard it was possible, but I would like to know how.

if the game has AV outputs, then it can be recorded on a VCR or DVD.
