Is there a way to find foreclosure listings for free??

I was just wondering if you can get foreclosure listings actually for free.Do you have to go to the bank?Real estate agent?.Or is there an actual web site..Thank you for reading this.

  1. check the land records website for the county you are interested in.

I stumbled across something the other day on www.overstock.com.  I was surprised to see that you can search for houses on their website.  After you click houses you can specify foreclosures.  Some Realtors specialize in foreclosures.  If you look at some house for sale ads, like in a Homes book or on realtor.com, the ones that say selling as-is or proof of funds required and usually foreclosures.  I also found this website where you can search HUD homes.  http://www.hud.gov/homes/index.cfm

  3. Real Estate Agents will have always have better access to any listings because they all use the multiple listing services in their areas, but I know of one website that lists foreclosures for free. It is www.reotrans.com. Hope that helps!

  5. I am not sure, but I think real comprehensive updated daily Foreclosure information for free is not available. However there are some Internet resources, which are offering one or two weeks for free as a trial:
