  1. autopsy....duh...

but you can't do that your-self unless you have that certain paper...

  2. Here's an awesome website:

    http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsear...

This is the Latter-Day Saints pilot website for searching for actual images of death records, etc.  It is a world wide site, but some countries have more information than others.  If you are in the US, try checking the Social Security Death Index.  It is kept pretty decently up-to-date.

  3. http://www.v1g.org is a public records site that will let you view things such as obituaries, death records, etc. You can probably find out here.

  4. USA Answer:

The death certificate, but you have to buy a copy and different states will have different rules about who can buy one.

Sometimes the obituary will say how. Sometimes not. If, for instance, the obit asks for donations to cancer, heart, kidney or AIDS research, that's a clue. The person may have keeled over from a heart attack while on an AIDS walk, though, so the charity is only a clue.

BTW, we can't tell what country you are from, so you got one from each of the two largest English-speaking ones and four more that assumed you were in the USA.

  5. More recent obituaries will probably not list the cause of death.  Earlier obituaries may, or may not.  I'd say the best bet is a death certificate.  Those list the cause of death 99% of the time.

  6. UK answer.

Here in the UK the only real option is to buy the death certificate, they cost £7:00, or you could ask the family of the deceased person.

    Hope this helps.

  7. u can check obituarys they list who died and sometimes theres articals about the death or tributes to there life

go on the major local newspaper in the area's website and type it in

they most likely keep records of all there prints

  8. If you know where they passed away, you have a couple of options.  You can check the obituaries, or you can request a copy of the Death Certificate from the county courthouse where the person passed.
