because i seem to have a problem getting hired. i've been on numerous interviews since october. and each interview went excellent. they've called me back for 2nd, 3rd interviews, checked my references, most of the time the references check out excellent (so I'm told), but then when the time comes to get hired, the job "falls thru" and I dont get it, or I never hear back from the employment agency or employer. this has been going on since october 2007. and in october 2007, i had a sexual harassment case against my last job & won a settlement thru a mediation.

is there some kind of database or site or establishment that employers or agencies check on applicants where they can be listed in the "black" and turn employers or employment agencies off where they wont hire you? if anyone knows anything please let me know. because its just strange how NO ONE is hiring me, i have great skills, a great attitude and an extended background & experience. this just isnt making sense

  1. No, there is no database or site that employers check for "blacklistings".  One of your references probably mentioned the sexual harassment case and no employer wants someone who is "sue happy".  You might sue them employer for anything.... they fear.  Or you may have something come up on your background check or credit report check (employers can check an applicant's criminal record and credit record for employment purposes).

Must likely it is the sexual harassment suit.  I've turned down applicants who have file workman's compensation because I don't want a clumsy worker getting hurt at my business and causing my insurance rates to go up.  Employers just have to look out for what's best for business.

Sorry.  Keep trying.  You may want to start your own business to re-establish good report with clients that don't know your history an can appreciate your hard work.
