Is there a way to find out who a moderator of a yahoo group is without joining the group?

to find out the exact person, generally no and even if you join you cant always find this out if the members list is closed.

either way, all that's available on any group, being a member or not, is the default owner address at the bottom of every group

The only possible way is to e-mail the owner/modertor, using the Owner e-mail address at the bottom of the Group's home page, and hope that they reply.

its better to join the group and find the owner/moderator cause its difficult to identify them without joining the group
