  1. You can go to the subject property's county recorder's office.  Many county offer online date search for property address which will give you a parcel number which is what the county recorder's office will require.

    Another option is to contact a real estate professional (such as a Real Estate sales agent or Loan Officer) who, in turn, will contact a title company and get you that information.

I can go on line & get info from courthouse records.  Just remember that the servicing could have been sold so the original mortgage holder may not be the current one.  If you can go to the site for tax bills it may show you who the tax bill is sent to (if escrows are set up) which would be the current mortgage holder.

  3. .    Go to the County Tax Assessors Office.  Use the street address to find the owner's name.  With that name, go to the Recorders Office.  That will give you all the deeds and mortgages.  If the mortgage has been sold, there should even be a paper that shows that.  Some of these are online, some aren't.

  4. You can go down to town hall and see what liens are on the property.
