  1. You can get a free credit report once a year from the three major reporting agencies.. it is a federal law.

It will NOT have your credit score attached, (you have to pay for that), but you can check the report for errors and problems and submit rebuttals or explainations that must be included with future reports.

You should not have to pay ANYTHING for this, nor sign up for anything, nor give any credit card number.  You WILL have to give your SS#.

The easiest way is to Google 'credit reports' and then look for free ones from the major agencies like Experian.  Read the application forms carefully to make sure you have the right ones, fill out the forms and you will get your reports in about 30 minutes.

If anyone asks you to pay for it, you have the wrong site.  If it is not a 'secure' site (https on the top bar).. you have the wrong site.  just read and make sure before you hit the enter key.

Footnote:  You can also call them up and order a free credit report.  (again no charge)

  2. Read this article, they show you how to get your credit report and credit score http://www.monitorbankrates.com/you-are-...

  3. Try this one - http://freecreditreport.hotusa.org - I monitor my credit score here during last 3 years. And also cleaned off some bad items from my credit report. You can apply for free initial plan and get your scores and reports for free.
