Is there a way to find the name of an Auto insurance company from the policy?

I was hit in a parking lot and I took all the information down but forgot to write the name of the insurance company. i tried to call them but they refused to give me their insurance. i think they want to cheat their way out with out paying.

their policy # bx05271921 and their licence plate is 5tpz601, 2006 dodge caravance

If they're refusing to give you their insurance information, then call the cops. They have to give that to you and if they don't, that's "failure to perform the duties of a driver."

report the info to your insurance company.  They have ways to find out this info.  Why are you playing detective on your own anyway?
