  1. JB Weld works well , can be sanded and painted when dry, inexpensive and can be bought at Wally World


  2. Assuming this is from a knife getting jammed thru it..........

    I'd mix up some two part putty-type epoxy, and jam it in there.

  3. I would use two-part epoxy putty.  It comes as a 3/4" dia. "rope".  You cut off a piece with a knife and work it with your hands until it gets warm and turns all the same color.  Then just push it firmly into the hole.  If the puncture is more like a slit, you should open it up a bit so you can get the putty right through.

    Smooth it out and let it cure for 24 hours before using the dishwasher.

    It's sometimes hard to find this stuff though.  Most recently I bought it in the paint department at Home Depot.  It's also sold on TV for about twice the price.
