Question:

Is there a way to get a time table for NYC subways? What about an online source able to be pulled up on phone?

I find it odd that the clerks at the subway station have no idea when a train is coming. I work graveyard shifts and after 8pm, trains can take sometimes 15 to 25 minutes to get to a station. If I had a rough idea of whether I just missed one and would have to then wait another 20 or so minutes, it would help me greatly as I would simply take a cab. Any advice would greatly help my daily commutes. Thanks
