Is there a way to get around the "private" or "blocked call" to find out who it was ?

I get a call late at night, let's after midnight and it is a "private or "blocked call". Surely someone knows how to find out who it was, when *69 wont work.

NO you can NOT find out private numbers, they are PRIVATE!

yes you can block private callers by dialing *77

yes *57 will put a trace on your last call received, BUT the info will NOT be provided directly to you, it will be provided to law enforcement and should only be used for threatening or harassing calls, and there is a per-use charge for this feature... for more info on call trace call them up at 1-866-trace-4-u

There is no way to find out.

Those numbers are blocked for a reason - if they didn't leave you a message, it probably wasn't someone you wanted to talk to.
