  1. what color are they can you use bleach if they are white - spot clean as well ...

I have a high efficiency washer - I believe you need (certain) Liquid Only Detergent - No powder...

    Edit:  dye/ink ... the Garbage!

You will be using them as rags though perhaps or use the next time you die your hair ... :p =)

  2. Always work on the stained areas first.

To remove dye stains: If the towels is white use bleach. Apply it with an old toothbrush and wait until the stain starts to disappear.  Wait about 30 seconds and if nothing happens you have to scrub the material . Use rubber gloves and take the stain area into both hands and push your fingers togerther as your move one hand up and the other down at the same time.  Repeat.

To remove ink stains use turpentine, a genereal paint solvent, acetone which is the main component of nail polish remover.

Then put them into the wash machine with regular soap powder or liquid and add some of the stain remover powder if it hasn't come out completely.  The ink stained ones may have to go through severl baches of laundry.
