  1. I have this phone and have been doing a lot of research on how to do specifically what you're asking. Fact is, it's not as easy as you thought it might be before you bought the phone. For the Verizon version (most likely the EnV2), you can save a section of a song (created by i.e. Audacity) into your My Sounds folder on your phone, then text message yourself, attaching the sound. When you receive it, you can save it as a ringtone. Unfortunately for us Canadians, the Telus version isn't so simple. As far as I can tell, a phone "hacking" software is the only solution. Bitpim is probably the best you can find. However, it is still difficult to use. You would have to do a lot of research, like I did, to figure out how to crack into your phone. After finally connecting the phone to Bitpim, my last step, which I am failing to complete, is actually loading the mp3 into ringtones. I've heard Bitpim only accepts them in midi format, which would explain the trouble...I'm still working on it. Anyway, hope this helps.
