There are plug-ins available (free and paid) that allow you to add more effects in Windows Movie Maker. The following website can point you to many good resources:

This post gives you a tutorial on how to add free effects to Windows Movie Maker.  It also supplies some effects for you.  It took me a while to understand how to use them, but there are videos to watch that explain it pretty well.  I still don't understand quite how it works, but it does!

There is also an add-on, but you have to pay for it.  I can't remember what it's called, but it's an unlimited trial with a large X in the center of whatever video clip you use one of its effects on until you buy it and it loses the X and provides you with even more effects.
