Question:

Is there a way to get my curly hair to stay straight?

When i'm straightening my hair, it's all going well until i get to the top few layers. Then it gets tough, and when i finally manage to pull it reasonably straight, it starts flicking back out and curling up. How can i get my hair to have less volume and more straight-ness?! (I've tried thinning my hair, but it just seems to get thicker and thicker!)

  1. You have been blessed with thick, naturally curly hair.  Embrace it, enjoy it and work with it.  Why waste time, money and possible damage to it trying to straighten it?

  3. You can get some thick straightening serum and a super duper intense straightener. Once your hair is straight, use a thick serum on top to keep away the frizzees. Good luck!

  4. Well, first up you have to get a good straightener.  Preferably a ceramic one.  I have the curliest and afro like hair in the world and my ceramic straightener gets it bone straight.  And it will stay like that until i wash it.  And also use MegaSilk spray (its by Silk Elements) really gets your hair soft so its even easier to straighten, which may help it to last even longer.  Hopefully i helped.

  5. yea there is.You have to permenently straighten it, you can go to a hairdresser for that. but the bad thing is , is that it involes a lot of chemicals, and it can damage your hair and your scalp, and if you dont get it done every month or 6 months (not sure which one ask hair dresser) the roots will come out.

  6. chemical straightening should help, but you might still need to flat iron it some each day to make it stay like that.

  7. but why would you want it straight?

you'll look fine with your natural hair

I like curly and there are other guys who like curly hair too

    just be yourself

    that makes you really beautiful

  8. buy a good straightening cream... blow dry then flat iron  a good one!!!. stop thinning it... but get layers to take out some bulk.

  9. There are chemical treatments to do it. If you just want temporary the do it like this. Apply a serum, like frizz ease on hair (not the top, only ends), a quarter size amount for shoulder length hair. Part hair into 4 sections. 1 on each side of the front and 1 on each side of the back. Pull one of the bottoms one and both top ones into separate bands. Put on top of head with clip. Then using a good hair dryer on the highest fastest setting, begin drying hair with a roller brush, pulling down very tightly. Dry hair 100%. Then move to the next back section, do the same thing. Then one of the top sections, then the other. Ok hair may be a bit  (or a lot frizzy) It's ok. Apply a quarter size more of frizz ease (again not right to the roots.) Then using a flat iron (or a really big curling iron) or highest setting if curling iron, and almost highest for flat iron. Do one whole side in sections, then do other side, like this Pull 2 inch sections starting with your face area. Start at the top of hair at roots and pull iron very slowly (if using a curling iron turn under a little), Do every section from bottom to top front to back. It may take 1/2 hour or more for each side. Then it should look great, and hardly no frizz at all. If you use sleek and straight shampoo by Garnier or any other smoothing or straightening hair shampoo and conditioner. There will also be a finishing spray that will help keep your style set, get it or use hairspray as soon as hair is done.

  10. i have curly hair and its hard for me too.

what i do is i take a shower and blowdry my hair. it will be really poofy and prolly wavy! when it comes to the top layer run some tresemme mouse for straight hair through it. (or any kind of mouse). go over each strand of sections around 5 times then hair spray and brush it out.

  11. a perm. if u want it stick straight get it japanese straightened, if u want it wavy get it brazilian straightened.

  12. a good thing to do is blow dry your hair straight with them spikey brushes with mouse also them straighton it with hair curler's or also if you have the money is to buy ghd's would probably be the best
