Is there a way to get pictures from home dvd's?

I have old home vhs tapes I put on dvd. I would like to turn some of the video into pictures.

  1. One way is to run the dvd on your computer and do a screen capture. I don't know if the resolution will be high enough for you that way, but it does work.
