I'm using hydrocortisone, but my feet and legs are full of mosquito bites, and sometimes it so bad that I can't sleep. Is there something I can do that will provide more immediate relief?

  1. witch hazel works great.....and it doesn't burn

  2. bedfordczarina,

The three most used natural remedies that I keep hearing of, are 1. a compress of water, as hot as you can stand without burning. 2. Ice cubes for up to a minute. And 3, a solution of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate, starch and an acidic compound - for example cream of tartar) applied to the bite(s).

    Good luck!

    Hope this helps

  3. I have a method.  First I rub rubbing alcohol all over it, which dries it up.  Then I use caladryll lotion(the pink stuff) all over the bite to ease the itching.  Then I put a band-aid over it; so I don't scratch it.  If it still itches afterward, repeat the process.

  4. I use a combination of rubbing alcohol, and then ice down the mosquito bite to take care of the swelling.  Works every time.

  5. Run them under cool water.

  6. this may sound kinda weird but if it's really bad i use rubbing alcohol. i just put some on a cotton ball and just put over the bite and it feels so good. hopefully this works for you.

  7. you need a cortisone cream given to you by a doctor. Over the counter doesn't work. That will give you instant relief.

  8. calamine lotion
