Question:

Is there a way to get telemarketers to quit calling my cell phone?

For almost two weeks now there have been odd numbers calling my cell and I finally figured out that they're telemarketers. I've answered all of the calls now that I know who they are but every time I say hello they hang up. I would like to tell them to take me off their soliciting list but if they don't answer me when I say hello how am I supposed to do that? I've had three different numbers calling me at least three times a day for almost two weeks. I just got my number changed and I don't want to change it again. How do I get this calls to stop??

  1. you need to be put on a special list, that lets telemarkerters no not to call your house.

  2. You have to go online and put your name on the "national do not call registry" (donotcall.gov). There is a fee every four to five years, but if you are willing to give up a few bones, its worth it.

  3. national do not call registry

all you o is go to the website and give your info

    www.donotcall.gov

  4. I had a similar experience but someone was using my phone number on job applications and such. (they randomly stole my number...lucky me) Anyways I kept having wal-mart, target, other retailers like that calling me asking If my name was todd.

My advice, Change your number don't enter it on ANY site unless it's legit and you are making a purchase. (you can always make up a phone number!)

Also register your new number to the national Do not call registry.

    That should about do it.

  5. Call your cell phone company and ask if they have the phone number for the "Do not call registry".  I used to have it but my computer crashed and everything was deleted but I got it from Verizon.
