Is there a way to get temporary car insurance?

Question

I live in the US of course, but i will be soon going out of the country for college in October, is there anyway that i can legally drive with insurance here for the month or so i have left here? i just recently got my license, and i want to be able to drive around to do other stuff. Is there anyplace where i can get insurance for like a month or so? just temporary. i dont want to pay for 6 months worth, when ill only be here for about 1.

You should be able to find one that will do a month to month. Or you might even pay for 3 months.  But if you pay for 6 months and cancel before the 6 months are up, they should refund the difference.

For car insurance the obvious way to get a good quote is do a rate comparison on auto policies. Make sure that you compare similar options with the same limits, auto make, zip code, etc so that all things are a good comparison.



What I usually recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.InsureAutoNow.info since they have lots of insurers and can give multiple quotes on car insurance polices.
