  1. Yes, you can either install a wireless router to connect to the Internet, or buy a wireless access point to connect to the Internet via your existing home network if you have one.

If you currently get broadband internet via a cable modem, for example, you can simply purchase a wireless router that connects to the modem. You can then connect your computers, wii, and DS to the router either wired or wirelessly. That way, you can get wireless access on the wii and DS without having to rely on the computer.

  2. You can (and should) put in an encryption code on your wireless access points (either a wireless router or the USB-device you're referring to).

I also suggest not broadcasting the device's SID.  That way, in order for something to connect to it, it must have the SID manually entered.

  3. On the DS you can buy a wi-fi connector thing. On the Wii, I don't think there are other ways.

  4. Use a "Nintendo Wi-Fi Compatible" wireless router, with a WEP key; just search for your access point and enter your WEP key into your DS/Wii. For the Wii you can also get a USB network cable adapter, which plugs into the back of the Wii. Also, a note to SOME of the answers, YOU HAVE TO USE A COMPUTER TO USE THE USB CONNECTOR! HE DOESN'T WANT TO USE THE COMPUTER!

  5. isnt it weird how some people answer without reading the question, I hate those people.

Anyways the asker said she cant use her computer because strangers might hack into it, so why is everybody recommending the nintendo USB connector.

All I can say is that you will need a wireless router along with a DSL connection for internet. You can buy a router at best buy, and your internet service provider should be able to tell you which kind of internet you have. Sorry but that is all I can think of without using a computer to connect.

  6. You can buy a DS and Wii wifi connector and all you have to do is plug into your computer and install the program. then you go on to any ds game that has WFC settings (wifi connection) and search for an access point. it will come up and all you have to do is connect then test connection.

If it does come up but has a red padlock you need to put a network key in but you have to set the key your self so it probably wont

I have put a link up for you
