Is there a way to grow back scales on my pet goldfish?

That depends. What is wrong? If it's water quality, then if you correct it, the scales will eventually grow back.

Make sure your goldfish has plenty of room. They are one of the "dirtiest" fish out there. One goldfish needs at least 20 gallons.

If you have a pleco (suckerfish) in the same tank with the goldfish, then remove him! There's a good chance he is "sucking" the scales off your goldfish. For some reason, they love the way goldfish slime tastes. Eventually, your goldfish will die if this is the case.
