Is there a way to have a different name in one Yahoo group that is appropriate to the subject?

I would like to change my name for my Harry Potter groups only and leave the others as they are. May I change my name for a specific Yahoo Group that I am a member of?

Yes, you can make another public profile with a different nickname and use it for that particular group.

Yes you can change the name by clicking on "Edit" for the "Description and Appearance" and going to the information for how to change categories (there's other information there).  I did that one time to one of my groups and then I found that the link didn't work after I made the change so I had to change it back to the name I had it before.

I would recommend checking with a Yahoo Groups customer service representative as well to see what additional information they may have for you.

to create an alias log onto your current profile- click View My Profiles- next page click create new public profile- follow steps-

go to group- click edit membership- scroll down to Yahoo! Profile and tic new ID- click save changes

your e-mail will remain the same however, but the Yahoo ID will reflect this
