I am in yr 6 and my times for the 100m i 13.91 and for the 200m is 30.03. I need to train for the carnival next term, and if you know any proven ways that would get my times any faster reasonably quickly that'd be great.

Maybe strengthening excersises, stretches or high protein diets?

  1. Well, usually ins and outs on a track (walk around the curves then accelerate on the straits, stretch, then do some drills (high knees etc.) before you start you training or practice. I started track this year and doing that improved my 55m from 9.1 to 8.0 and i got a 27 in the 200m. the spring season just started and i got a 12.9 100m at my first meet so doing those things made me faster so i hope they help you.

  2. do a short run as fast as you can with you knees going up to your chest and move your arms really fast and do these a couple times and take a break and do more

thats what our coach told us to do

  3. if you have not reach your peak speed then you must train to become faster, so you need the type of training that will help you run faster, so the type of training you need is how to breath while your sprinting, how to use your arms to give you

more thrust, how to build strength in your legs to power you forward, and how to stay relax....Good Luck
