Is there a way to increase your chance of being called up for jury duty?

I have never been asked, and would LOVE to be on a jury. I have always been a registered voter, have lived in the same county for most of my life, but never been called in. Can you volunteer, or is there some way to increase your chance of being called?

  1. Wow -- this is refreshing.  Most people would rather be staked to an anthill, than do jury duty.  I applaud your sense of civic duty, though you may find that it's difficult to sit in judgment of people.  It's not a comfortable feeling -- though necessary.

  2. Don't get a drivers license or register to vote....

  3. Call the Clerk of the Court for the federal court and the clerk of the court for the state court systems. Ask to be considered for jury duty. That is about all you can do.

  4. I guess your answers so far shows 1 out of 2 can't read...lol. I also congratulate you for your civic mindedness. Unfortunately for you, the names are drawn at random, in my state and I'm just assuming it's the same everywhere. They draw 50 -60 and the 12 are selected by the lawyers. So your chances of getting picked are pretty slim. Sorry I couldn't be more positive for you.
