half of my cds play, while half of them don't. I have a 2005 ford focus and it's a 6 cd changer. I thought maybe it was just that type of cd, but I have several different labels or brands and half of them will work, while the same types won't.

  1. use cdr discs that is the only type that will work in my truck

  2. A 2005 unit should play burned cds as long as you burnt hem as a music disc and not mp3, data, or any other file type.  Check your manual, it will tell you if your stereo can play different file types.

  3. maybe you are burning some of them as data discs wich will not play on cd players if the cds are cdRW they most likley are data like for burning movies you need to get just cds that say cdR

  4. its probably your CD deck, usually older models might not be able to play wma mp3's or what not. mabey searh it up and try investing into a new  CD deck
