Is there a way to know if you're going to get yugioh card holos or promos before you get in booster packs?

The question says it all. I guess you could say I'm not a lucky person because I don't get holos much at all.

  1. yes there is you feel to see if there thicker or not

  2. Holos are usually stiffer, so if you can individually space out the cards and bend them, one will bend less easier. I can tell when i'm going to draw Raigeki or Feather Duster just by the way the card bends before I draw it.

  3. There are several ways:

~Bend the whole pack, then see if it bends easier than another             pack. if it doesn't, it probably has a holo.

~Some boosters come in a box, like this one: http://www.cardhaus.com/images/140387.JP...

they actually guarantee that you'll get at least a super rare.

~You can look up in the internet what packs have better possibility of giving rares.

~Otherwise, get duelist decks or structure decks. Most of them come with at least one holo.

Just remember: Never stop trying, you'll get one eventually.

    Hope this helped,

  4. Well, theres always a pocket scale, the packs with holos weigh a tad more then regular ones

you can also feel the side of the pack a bit and look for a tiny space in between the cards, holos are usualy bent a little.

  5. Like the others are saying. There is also another way. It is by a known thing as common sense (no offense). You are garunteed with at least a Super Rare to Ultimate Rare in every pack. It says it on every pack. Not verbatim as my words but close enough to mean the same. Weighing only helps if you are looking for a specific rare. The only thing that will be hard is telling between a Ultra Rare and Ultimate Rare. They are close in thickness.
