Is there a way to locate an inmates number without calling the prison?

I am looking for my daughters fathers inmate number so she can write him but I can't find it!

You might be able to get the information from the BOP web site.

depends on what state? in south carolina you go to scdc and type his/her name in ,their imformation will comr up with a picture

You may have to call....I don't know if there's another way.  You probably just need his full name and date of birth.

Go to your local Probation Officers office. The Police will tell you where it is and explain to him what you want he will probably sort it for you !

Write to him at the prison, if he answers back he will most likely include his number, if they give it to him without a number.  Otherwise, I don't know if the prison is allowed to "give out" inmate numbers.
