Is there a way to look up someone's drivers license plate on their car on the internet?

today i was recently rear ended by a car and i thought it was a minor jhi. i took his license plate down but i didn't get his name or anything, now i want to look him up. is there a website where i can enter his driver license plate to look at his information? I'm situated in California thanks

You should have exchanged insurance info.

There's no way for a civilian to look up a number.  That protects people (woman) from stalkers and nut jobs.

not unless you're a cop. give that info to them

If you have the plate number call the police and report it. There are web sites that will let you check people out for a fee. But calling PD is cheaper.
