  1. Dream-in'. Dream,Dream,Dream, Dreaming......

  2. No.  I've never seen a recipe that doesn't contain some type of grain, which is a carb.

  3. No there is not any way to do that. The flour will always give you a carb content. You can use a wheat flour that is higher in protein and lower in carbs, though.

  4. I doubt you can do completely carb-FREE.....but you can use CarbQuik...it has only 10 percent of the carbs in Bisquik.  :)

  5. No need to dream...there's such a thing called soy flour. It has 1/4 the carbohydrates that regular white flour has. You can use it to make these yummy pancakes..

    ***Low Carb Maple Pecan Pancakes***

    Non-stick cooking spray or butter

    2 eggs

    1/3 cup heavy cream

    1/4 cup water

1 teaspoon no sugar added maple extract

    1/2 cup soy flour

2 tablespoons sugar substitute (recommended: Splenda)

1 tablespoon wheat (or oat) bran

    1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/8 cup chopped pecans (walnuts may be substituted)

Low Carb Fresh Whipped Cream, recipe follows

Grease a griddle or large pan with nonstick cooking spray or butter and heat over medium heat.

Mix all ingredients except pecans in a blender for about 15 seconds. Stop and scrape down the sides with a spatula, and continue mixing for another 15 seconds until well blended.

Pour approximately 16 mini-cakes onto the hot griddle, and sprinkle each with a few pecans. Cook on each side for only a minute or 2. Serve hot with melted butter or top with a dollop of Low Carb Whipped Cream.

    Low Carb Fresh Whipped Cream:

    1 cup heavy cream

1/3 cup sugar substitute (recommended: Splenda)

1 teaspoon no sugar added vanilla extract

With an electric mixer on high, whip the heavy cream just until frothy. Then add in the sugar substitute and vanilla extract and continue to whip on high until peaks form. Be careful not to over-whip, or cream will break. Store in a pastry bag or glass dish with a lid and refrigerate.

    Yield: 12 servings

  6. Dream on baby girl!! there are a ton of carbs in the flours used to make any baked or fried goods like this.

What I do to cut the carbs way down is to make everyone else normal sized pancakes and myself one very small one. Like about 2 or 3 inch diameter with butter and syrup on it. That way I limit the amount of carbs I eat.

Whole Wheat flour makes a totally inedible product, so don't do that or you will toss it and not have more carbs than the first bite.

  7. Low-Carb Pancakes (Flax Seed)

    Ingredients:

1/2 cup of ground flax seed meal

    2 eggs

    1/4 cup of cream

    3 Tablespoons of cottage cheese

2 Tablespoons of oil or melted butter

    1/4 teaspoon baking powder

This recipe has roughly 13 grams of carbs.

    Instructions:

Simply mix together all the ingedients with a whisk - batter should be a bit runny. Cook on a lightly greased skillet as you would any pancake recipe. Drop batter on surface large spoonfulls.

Cook until each side is lightly browned.

Serve with butter and a low-carb store bought syrup. Or for an interesting low-carb topping, mix 1 Tablespoon of sugar-free jam with 1 and 1/2 Tablespoons water and microwave for 45 seconds.
